Between Urushi and People

This event takes place in a small private library tucked inside a local café. Each bookshelf is curated by an individual owner who shares their favorite books with visitors. For this occasion, I’ll be using my shelf to introduce books related to urushi (Japanese lacquer).

Alongside the books, I’ll also exhibit photos from my interview with Mr. Nakahata, a craftsman who makes tools for collecting raw lacquer.

Enjoy a cup of tea while browsing through books and photos that reveal the world of urushi.
