今回のワークショップで扱う漆は拭き漆というもので、初心者でも扱いやすいものになっています。漆について知識や経験は必要ありません。少しでも『伝統に 触れてみたい』『漆ってどんなものだろう』そんな好奇心があれば大丈夫です。塗ってみたいと思うものが思いつかなかった場合はこちらで用意しているものがあります。

漆には乾燥期間が必要なため、当日に持ち帰ることができません。

そのため、参加日から一週間後以降に個人で取りに来ていただく必要があります。店舗での受け取りが難しい場合は着払いでの郵送となりますのでご了承ください。

Break free from the boundaries of “vessels” and explore the world of Urushi (Japanese Urushi) on anything around you. This gathering is your secret base for creating one-of-a-kind works using traditional Urushi techniques—on surfaces no one has dared to try before. Smartphones, leather goods, sneakers, even stone or metal— this is your hands-on experimental field where you can actually apply lacquer to everyday materials. Why not toss aside fixed ideas and experience Urushi in a whole new way?

The lacquer we’ll be using in this workshop is called fuki-urushi (wiped lacquer), a type that is easy to handle even for beginners. No prior knowledge or experience with lacquer is necessary. As long as you have a bit of curiosity—such as wanting to “experience tradition firsthand” or wondering “what exactly is urushi?”—you’re more than welcome to join.

If you’re unsure what you’d like to apply Urushi to, we have several items prepared for you to choose from.

Since lacquer requires time to dry, you won’t be able to take your piece home on the same day.

You’ll need to pick it up yourself at the store one week or later after the workshop.

If in-person pickup is difficult, we can ship your piece via cash on delivery (COD).
